This morning I noticed that one on regular backyard residents during the spring and summer had already arrived back from his (or her) warmer winter residence. One of your two mourning doves has arrived back here in Minnesota in February. Now, I have never noticed what date they have arrived on before, but I can almost guarantee it has rarely been as early as Feb. 15.
